Hey guys.
Not sure if this is part of forum rules. If it isn't then delete.
If it is, but mods want move it to a different thread I'm asking if it can stay as a separate thread just for 24 hours.
Basically, the Chabad shluchim to American University are on a campaign to raise $40k in 24 hours. Whatever you give is matched by three independent people. Meaning when you give $20 it becomes $80. So for them to reach their goal of $40k they need $10k in donations. Its an all or nothing situation.
The shluchim there do a really great job. They're completely given over to helping the roughly 1200 Jewish students there. I have personally seen them in action, and can testify that they are 100% dedicated and selfless in what they do. This will help support what they do. For example, shabbos meals - where they host college students, to give them a taste of shabbos With חנוכה around the corner it will help support the hundreds of menorahs which will be given out, and The list goes on and on. It really is a special thing they do. You can see how much the students appreciate a shabbos meal, receiving a menorah, or just having someone to talk to. By helping them reach their goal you are in essence assisting in bringing Jews closer to Hashem and therefore have a portion of that שכר. It really is a worthy cause, and even a little bit goes a long way. (Remember its quadrupled.)
Thanks to all those that help.
