was in a car accident yesterday (lady skipped a stop sign)(LAKEWOOD), and today my neck and part of my back hurts. if i feel like i may need medical help how do i go about it now? do i contact a lawyer?
Are you asking for medical advice? If you are feeling pain then go to the doctor.

Are you interested in suing?

Explain your question.

i think its under PIP. as to premium increase it seems like it may effect it even if i am not at fault...
Yes, pip will pick up your premium
You dont want a pip claim on your record

That's 1 reason why insurance is expensive in NY bc of the No Fault pip requirement

Insurance is high because many are uninsured.

Premium will go up regardless of who's at fault.

You don't see an increase in insurance based on using the pip etc that's not how it works. That's like saying your medical insurance goes up every time you buy new glasses.

See a lawyer who can help you understand the insurance coverage etc. See a Dr for basic x-rays and evaluation

Did you file a claim? I was a passenger in a car that had an accident about 2 weeks ago, they put me In as witness, progressive called me today with one question "how are you feeling after that accident" I told them I'm OK bh and that was it

Soft tissue injury is usually a non starter as far as a lawyer is concerned.

Anyone have any experience with this?
Is it worth looking into or is it a waste of time for minor whiplash?
