There's no reason to add a minor as an AU except in the case of Amex, where it reports the open date as the date the AU was added. If you add someone the month before they turn 18, the will inherit the exact same history as they would doing it years earlier. IMO they are much more likely to be the victim of ID theft if there is a prime credit profile just sitting there unmonitored. If you feel the need to add minors as an AU, which IMO is not worth it, freeze their credit reports.
Isn't it possible that the other banks will abruptly switch their policy, to only report from when they got added on?
can someone pls post the link of the thread how to do a pggm i cant find it
It was deleted
I got a letter from amex that I'm invited to enroll in extended payment option and will earn 10,000 points if approved. Do they do a credit pull for this? Do I have anything to lose?
You will lose 10k points if you don't do it
Yeh duh. Just wanted to know why they are offering points theres obviously a catch, no?
can someone pls help me? I wanted to do a pggm, I booked delta tickets and upgraded to comfort seats just called in delta a hour after booking to cancel but they tell me I can only change the flight but not cancel, what exactly did I do wrong?
anyone with recent data? How long does it take now for the credit to post after a pggm?
BUMP
Next day.
hmmm... why?
If it's an extended payment option and you pay late there is interest if you always pif then they don't gain anything
To do clarify, if I have someone with a non Amex card in long and good standing and they add me as an AU, that will help my credit?
Yes, having long age accounts on your report will improve your credit score.
