One of my all-time favorite Lag Ba'omer songs. There is so much meaning in both the tune and the lyrics.

I don't know what it's like for others, but I feel like the breaks from music during sefirah and the bain hamzarim are like a reset for me in music.

On a day like today, I don't jump into the wild or very complex music. I can't just amp it all the way up. Instead, I need to start with the basics, simple beautiful songs, hartzig slow or derhoiben fast. But nothing too contemporary in style or extreme. For the next while, I really appreciate the songs that I'm taken for granted before the break.

Anyone else have the same feeling? And if yes, any insight into what songs/singers you listen to after a hiatus?
I have the same feeling. Although I think it's more about the significance of the day, and the music that's relevant to today

On Philharmona 1 the first track is a medley of Ger and Chabad Dance tunes.
Can anyone identify which are which?
Incidentally, I noticed that a few Shmuel Kunda songs are TTTO some of those nigunim.

When it comes to Kad Yasvun, there is the ageless classic version, and Benny Friedman's newer one, which is composed by R' Meshulam Greenberger, the composer for the Dushinsky Chassidus. Those two are the famous ones now. But there is another one that was put out about 10 years ago by Chaim Yisroel, which I think deserves to be widely sung. Most people don't know it, but it's really a phenomenal song. (The one downside about it is that not all the original words are included, but it can be tweaked to fix it.)

I usually avoid the Spanish(?) Jewish music channels. It's some form of Christianity (evangelicals?) that apparently have certain beliefs regarding Jewish people. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know it. But it just feels weird.

Brand new song from Abie Rotenberg, sung with Shulem Lemmer.

Song was released by the campaign to raise money for a sefer Torah for Rabbi Zecharia Wallerstein. As of now, I don't think the song is available online, but you can see it in the livestream. Click this link and rewind to about 8:55 EST (If you do it now, you go to -10 minutes, but that time will grow as time passes, as it's still a live stream).

At a wedding last week there was a Yiddish song sung under the chuppah, including lyrics about how a Yid is always thinking of Yerushalayim and I'm on my way to Yerushalayim. It was an absolutely beautiful and emotional song. Does anyone recognize this and can point me in the direction of where I can find it/find the lyrics?

Sounds like the same lyrics (translated) as Carlebach's Im Eshkachaich

They posted it online now. This clip also includes the interview with Abie and Shulem. The actual song starts at the 15:00 mark.
