Did they make more than $150k total income in 2019 or 2020?
You will essentially get it twice.
Do you have to return one of them?
No. But make sure to AYLCPA.
i did he said probably won't need to repay
For someone who doesn't file taxes and never claimed any of the 3 checks, what can they still get and how?
Is there anyone that got it with everyone else last time and still waiting this time?
Yeah I got a chase DD the first time with everyone else. This time I got a letter saying that a check is coming, but I'm still waiting on the check
The letter was for the second round.
I filed March 1st and got based on 2019.
I was also confused about this. I got a letter saying a check is coming, came out to $600 a person but this was before the bill was passed
18 y/o who files his own return but is dependent on parents return gets stimulus? I’m assuming not…If he isn’t dependent for 2020 & files his own return, how much stimulus will he get?
If he does not qualify as someone's dependent for 2020 and files his own return, he will qualify for EIP 1 and 2 subject to income limits. He may also receive EIP 3 in the next few months.
I had a baby in 2020, and didn't file taxes in time for the IRS to know about it when issuing the $1400 stimulus checks. I thought I would have to wait until filing next year to claim it, but last night I had it deposited into my account (chase). I guess the IRS looked over the 2020 returns to see if anyone added dependants and issued them to those that didn't receive yet. Never thought I'd be impressed with the IRS
