vielen Dank für Ihre Nachricht, die seitens des Bundespolizeipräsidiums zuständigkeitshalber an die Bundespolizeidirektion Flughafen Frankfurt am Main weitergeleitet wurde.
Ich danke Ihnen, dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen und uns auf die Unannehmlichkeiten anlässlich Ihres Aufenthaltes auf dem Frankfurter Flughafen aufmerksam gemacht haben.

Sie beschweren sich darüber, dass Sie am 04.05.2022 als einer von mehreren Passagieren des Fluges LH 401 aus New York für den Weiterflug mit LH 1334 nach Budapest von der Fluggesellschaft Deutsche Lufthansa vom Flug ausgeschlossen wurden und zeigen sich verwundert über die Anwesenheit von Bundespolizisten im Bereich des Abfluggates.

Die Entscheidung, eine Beförderung von Passagieren nach Budapest abzulehnen, war eine privatrechtliche Entscheidung der Lufthansa und nicht eine von Behörden oder der Bundespolizei. Auf derartige, rein privatrechtliche Angelegenheiten hat die Bundespolizei keinerlei Einfluss.
Nach den uns von der Lufthansa übermittelten Informationen betraf der Beförderungsausschluss alle Passagiere des Lufthansafluges aus JFK aufgrund deren unkooperativen, gegen Vorschriften verstoßenden und die Anordnungen der Crew missachtenden Verhaltens auf dem Flug nach Frankfurt.
Eine diskriminierende, gegen jüdisch-orthodoxe Personen gerichtete Maßnahme der Lufthansa war deshalb für die Bundespolizei nicht erkennbar.

Grund für die Präsenz der Bundespolizei am Abfluggate nach Budapest war das der Bundespolizei von Lufthansa gemeldete Verhalten der Reisenden auf dem Flug nach Frankfurt. Aufgrund dieses Verhaltens befürchtete die Lufthansa bei Bekanntgabe des Beförderungsausschlusses, dass es seitens der Reisenden zu Gewalttätigkeiten gegen ihr Personal kommen könnte.
Die Kräfte der Bundespolizei waren daher aus rein präventiven Gründen vor Ort. Polizeiliche Maßnahmen wurden seitens der Bundespolizei nicht getroffen.
Auch entsprach die Bewaffnung und Ausstattung der Beamten der regulären Streifenausrüstung an einem deutschen Flughafen und war zu keinem Zeitpunkt dazu gedacht, jemanden einzuschüchtern.

Ich bedaure deshalb sehr, dass Sie dies anders empfunden haben und die Anwesenheit der Kräfte der Bundespolizei einen negativen Eindruck bei Ihnen hinterlassen hat.
