Every hashgacha has +&-.
Ye, I think they powerwash it. Which in the case of strawberries - makes them look funny and feel mushy. Can't imagine a blackberry lasting thru a powerwash.
That could be why frozen strawberries raspberries and blackberries are fine without a hechsher according to CRC

only for pureeing (ain da'ato lvatlo)
If it is only because of what he has in mind then to puree for cake filling in a case where the only reason one is pureeing is due to the bug concern wouldn't work. If it is because they are considering it matzui not muchzak then it would.
Since they are washed better, they are only considered matzui
they specifically state for smoothies or the like.
I doubt they would have written it in a way so confusing to a layman.
who purees for cakes?
who purees for cakes? Even pie fillings aren't pureed rather they are macerated. I think it's pretty clear what puree means. Generally you would only puree something you want pureed. If it's a miyut shaino matzui then you may have a heter for pei filling and canned as well of avar ubishul- ee efsher lsanino
