I can confirm that it's definitely still helping the AU's credit reports. Possibly not as much as before, but it's definitely making a positive difference as far as credit line utilization and length of credit history. I just checked someones FICO last week and saw this clearly. (In case there is a difference,) This guy is an Authorized User.
Is this with a Citi AU?
It definitely still shows up on their reports. I just think that some banks, when they see that it's only an AU account, they disregard it
Well, if you get automatically approved, the likelihood of a bank "seeing it" and "disregarding" becomes less. Unless, of course, the computers are programmed to avoid it (which I doubt).
