I ordered a GC on raise.com and they called me to verify some public records information, one of the questions was what are the last 2 digits of my social , they told me that the last 2 digits is on the public records. Is that right?

Not AFAIK but don't be shocked if they have access to your full social

FWIW, I basically will only deal with CardCash/ABC, they've been good to me both buying and selling... However, maybe I'll think twice about ever buying $500+ from anyone...

LOL. I forgot to include the 3 digit pin at the end of the # and this card was 100% good. ABC/CardCash always the very best in this industry.

I once mistyped a GC# to CardCash. Obviously it was wrong so it was rejected.

I then resubmitted with the correct # and it was rejected again.

So I mailed it in and they had to mail it back.

They said since it was entered incorrectly at first, their fraud detection system wont take it and theres no way around it.

Staples GC FWIW.

I had a similar situation with SaveYa and they had no issue just resubmitting with the corrected info.

Got the same thing a few days ago so I asked them why via e-mail. Their response was "Thank you for following up with us. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business, we do not currently disclose the parameters of our risk assessment. We truly apologize for any inconvenience to you." It wasn't even a large purchase... only $160ish for a retail store GC.

The same thing happened to me 3X, is there anything to do? Should I create a new account?
