The manufacturer gets the tax credit on a lease even if it doesn't qualify. For a purchase you are better off with a more expensive car that qualifies, but for a lease you will always be better off with the cheaper car because they can reduce the price by 7500 regardless.

Got it. When does Tesla show the $7,500 savings I don’t see it on the order page. Is it only after I place the order when I go in to pickup car price will be reduced?

It's already included in the lease price.

Dont know if this is discussed on here, but…

What are the issues of buying a used tesla? Does the car break through use? I think my biggest query is if someone who takes the car for a joy ride every day would in turn destroy the car and after a few years its junk. What is the biggest reason to buy either new or used?
