My fiance, Ilan, and I are entered in a major contest, facilitated by Nefesh B'Nefesh, to help our dream of Aliyah come true. If we get the most votes, we will win a $10,000 grant to help make our Aliyah this August after our wedding a little bit easier!

Moving to a new country is always difficult. Some people adjust better than others. Also it depends on  many outside factors as well such as financial situation and into what community you move into etc. Meanwhile I'd say they're pretty invested in moving at this point and I'm sure they've been warned.

That's why ppl should move here irregardless of other ppl's behaviours, but b/c they believe it's what God wants them to. That way, it'll minimize the impact that other ppl's behavior has on them.

Sorry, the din is הוי גולה למקום תורה, which is precisely 'other peoples behavior'. Throughout the years many poskim did not move to Israel because of a better spiritual environment elsewhere. If that is the case (every person is different) then it is not what Gd wants.

I agree that it's not for everyone.

But unfortunately, a majority of frum jews don't even consider it as an option to determine it it's 'for them'. They daven for it everyday, w/o ever thinking about the words they're saying.
