Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Being done with close to all my min spend on my current CC's and it being too soon for some new cards I am debating the best use for my RC. Go for the 10k (or 30k) BA for 25k Avios (or 1 companion ticket), go for Arrival to get travel expenses reimbursed or just go for UR via CSP?

I can use it for my metro card every month which is what I was thinking about. Aside from my Disney trip using undercover tourist sometime in 2016 :D

i was wondering similarly, with no signup bonuses to hit
i was deciding between csp and spg. csp was being more annoying about fraud, and spg is more valuable, so i went spg

My Metro? Nah - I use all my available pre tax for the LIRR as I can only use like 240ish a month pre tax for commuting.

FT method failed today at Howell. 2 different Redcards, at CS and a cashier. The POS didn't let the redcard be swiped a second time.

When a payment is scheduled to arrive on a certain date, what time of day does it arrive?

Ive done FT method several times last week but today it didn't work. I'm not sure if it's just that the cashier couldn't figure out how to do it or if the system stopped allowing it...

Anyone had a similar experience recently?

How was the focus group? Please share..

In case anyone else is interested...

(D., please take a deep breath before reading!!!) :)

It wasn't bad. There were 7 people total: me, one other frum girl (who I knew), 2 other white ladies, one black male and one white male.

One of the ladies was a huge idiot (not the frum one) and talked about how her husband is a mileage junkie and spends every night reading about how to accumulate points, and how he sent her to Target as soon as he found out about the prepaid card and she does MS every month.... The frum girl said how she saw some guy from NY go and take tons of cards from a Target store back to NY...

Other than those two comments, the rest of the focus group (2 hours) was about how we use the card, what we like about it, how we would improve packaging, how did we find out about it, what we don't like about it, its association with American Express etc.

And we all pretty much concluded at the end that none of us would keep using the card if they eliminate loading via credit card

And of course got the $125 debit card :)
