Hyatt Diamond Suite Upgrade Award

I just finally got confirmed Diamond Status.  I saw on my profile that I was given 4 Diamond suite awards but they expire 2/28/10.  I am wondering if this was mistake that they expire in 3 weeks.  Also, it seems like these can be only used on paid rooms?  What is the best way to use these to maximize value?

You'll get new suite upgrades on March 1st but they're only good on paid stays.

So with Diamond status, does that mean you can get upgraded to a suite if it's available even on a FFN room?

You may get upgraded to a suite...depends on the hotel.
