Is the 2011+ odyssey a better more reliable car than the 2008-2010 one or just a newer look ?

Much larger too.

I’m thinking of getting someone a 10-15 year-old Odyssey or Sienna.

1) Does one generally have cheaper insurance than the other in NYC ?

2) Is there any difference fuelwise ?
BUMP
Anybody know anything about these 2 ?

Am I better off getting an older car with lower mileage or newer with higher mileage ?

Ex: 2010 with 110k vs 2014 with 170k

How many miles do you expect to drive?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

if they were both mechanically well-maintained I would say this is pretty equal

The older Siennas are better than the newer hybrid ones.

1. The new Sienna is awful

Anything old is better then new, even with people

If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

In the quality of production. I would say how the vehicle was up kept us more important then the year.

My 2023 sienna engine feels noisy and weak - twice passengers asked if I was in proper gear because of the noise on pickup. Pretty sure it's been this way since day 1. Is this normal or an issue with my van?
Don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers

Worse brakes.
You can perhaps blame that on the fact that its a rental.

If it's a 2023, I imagine it's still under warranty. Why not bring it into the dealer instead of getting random answers here, no? It shouldn't cost anything.

A very experienced mechanic once told me that years is much more important to look at than miles.

This is normal. I have the '23 as well and when I let someone borrow it they called asking if they were doing something wrong because the pickup is so loud...

Rented another Sienna Hybrid in NYC this week. Man am I happy I don't own this thing, noisy, poor rear climate controls, terrible driving experience overall. Ody drives and sounds like a dream compared to the Sienna Hybrid.

But that being said, it's really a great rental car. Filled it up in Monsey with 3 gallons, drove around Manhattan, dropped off at JFK, and the tank was still above F. Not bad for 155 miles of driving.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
