Trivia question, inspired by Baruch Levine's album:
In the original version of "Dear Nikolai", off JEP vol. 1, the "letter" begins with a date. What is the date?
Speaking of jewish music trivia - reminds me of my first night in camp. Night activity was a music trivia thing - each bunk was supposed to write down their answers and at the end they'd see which bunk answered the most questions correctly. My bunk was mostly much more modern, out of town kids, who could probably sing the billboard hot 100, but not so much with jewish music, so I felt like I had to step up and give some correct answers. So I start telling my counselor answers to the ones I know, and he's just nodding, and quietly writing down answers. We get to the end and aside from the ones I didn't know, I got plenty others wrong too. But our bunk got every one right on the paper. Apparently, my counselor knew jewish music pretty well - which would be useful for him later in life, since it was Yaakov Shwekey.
ETA: He came to my bar mitzvah too, got a free live performance from Yaakov Shwekey! (prior to his debut as a feature artist)
