Based on your quotes did you try signing up for the same card twice or was it different AA cards
Two different cards, the AAdvantage Visa for 75K and the AAdvantage Amex for 75K. They denied both initially, one for credit obligations(Amex) and one for multiple applications for Credit(Visa). The next day they called me back about the Visa, verified some information and then said they're sending me the card. I dunno what changed but I won't complain. I called back about the Amex and they told me to send in my credit report/score and a letter asking for reconsideration, so I typed one up***** and sent it in to the CitiBank Executive Review Dept. today. I couldn't find their number but wasn't getting any help from regular CRS so I went the snail mail route. Anyone have any other suggestions as to who to call to try and expedite the process?
FYI, this is the letter I sent them:
To whom this may concern at Citibank,
As you can discern from the printed E-mail I included in this envelope, I was rejected for the Citibank AAdvantage American Express Card due to concerns about credit obligations. I believe that your company should re-evaluate my application and review my credit report again, and I’ve included it with this letter for that exact purpose. My credit score is very good and I’ve never missed a payment. I am not signing up for this card because I need the credit; this card has gotten great reviews, has a strong rewards program and I think we can both benefit from my receiving approval for the card. I have a strong history of using a small percentage of my available credit; per my myFICO score, my average percentage of available credit used is 8 percent, just 1 percent above their “FICO High Achievers” category. Hopefully, with the addition of this card, I can dilute my percentage of credit used below that threshold level of 7 percent. Additionally, per my report I am a very low-risk applicant, which is obviously a characteristic valued in an applicant. I hope you take my thoughts into consideration and upon re-consideration, approve me for this great credit card.
Sincerely,

I probably should have run this by you guys before I sent it out, but whats done is done.
