I'm currently trying to figure out a trip for 2 adults for roughly a week next May (could be 8-9 day also). I'm debating between Ireland and Spain. Any opinions?

Will likely go to Europe in July with kids for 9 days. Don’t want to go to Paris, London, Vienna, Amsterdam, or Prague.

Where should I go? And if Venice is on the list, where should I stay? Gha hotels (Eg kempinski) for extra bonus points since I can get suite there.

You'd probably want 2 or maybe 3 places for 9 days. You can do a few cities in Italy (VCE, FCO and maybe another). Another option is Spain/Portugal (BCN, MAD, LIS etc).

Planning ahead for December 2019.
Looking to buy a Marriott air+hotel package and use for a week somewhere with the following characteristics:
Sunny and warm
Marriott/SPG properties
Kosher restaurants
Within ~ 6 hour flight time from BOS

Obvious ones:
MIA
CUN
PTY
LAX (not so warm in Dec)
SJD

What else might fit the criteria?

TIA

Summer Trip Ideas
« Reply #4932 on: May 31, 2018, 12:14:16 PM »
First time post...long time fan of DD.

Would like to plan a couples trip this summer and utilize about 200K SPG points that have saved up.  Ideal trip would be good weather, pool/beach access, access to kosher food a plus, but not necessary (will bring frozen meals if necessary), Sat night-Thurs/Fri length stay and access to local culture or activities.  Don't want to feel pressured to get out every day at 7 to run and do tourist activities all day long.  Would prefer to relax for 2-3 days and do 2 or 3 local day trips.  Open to South/Latin America or EU as well.

Thanks to all in advance for help and guidance!!!

Open for any ideas as I am wide open —— Road trip out of Chicago for 1-1.5 weeks in June ???

My thoughts, nothing set:

Go Deep South USA, as the western & far north east USA too far for short period of time.

Based on above, my thought is to hit up multiple cities staying there 1 day each vs. staying in fewer cities for 2-3 days each.

Cities I am thinking about definitely worth visiting: New Orleans, Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston etc.

Everything is in motion and can/will change.

I get that.  I had similar thought.   But value can also mean what you actually get, not just what you would have paid.
