Apparently there were people who used to bake matzos after Shabbos before the seder, the Alter Rebbe didn't like that minhag because we want the children to be up for the Ma Nishtana.
I remember hearing that this is still done on Yerushalayim. I have no way to verify the accuracy.
Interesting. It's also interesting how much the Alter Rebbe gave importance to having the seder as soon as possible for the children.
I'd guess this isn't done on mass scale today. Maybe it was an ancient minhag Yerushalayim. (It's all various dayos being mentioned in Tor actually)
Chareidim are $62 a pound this year (2022), up from $55! Our family is finally making a clean break. All costs have gone up, but this has become prohibitively expensive, particularly as a box does not even weigh a pound. We will chew a little more this year.
Insanity. I'll stick with prime rib.

Why not just round it up to $100 ?
אל תפתח פה
That פה is long out of the box.
There isn't subsidized chalukas? Here in Jlm it's the norm
What so good about Chareidim that they can afford to ask double? Sure it's $65 a pound and not per box -2 lb?
