Thanks. Does it depend on whether the card is a Visa vs Mastercard? For example, my Freedom Flex card is a MC, but my CSR and Hyatt are Visa's.

(I didn't realize till now that the Freedom Flex and Freedom unlimited ran on different networks).

IDK. My experience is with Visa.

Any advantage to applying for FU in branch?
Higher chances of approval?

Higher chances of approval?

Why do you say that?

Word on the street is the you have a better chance of approval in branch. I asked my banker but he wouldn't admit it outright.

Doesn’t really say that and I haven’t found this to be true. In fact, sometimes you can’t even apply for certain cards in branch but you can online (such as right after closing a Sapphire and applying for another one).

For the last quarter I received an email to activate 5% back on gas & groceries.
For this quarter I received no 5% offer.
Any explanation?

You don't need a link. And they usually send the email later in the quarter (it's retroactive).

Well, so far I haven't received it even though last time it came at the end of June.
I don't even see the offer when logging in to my account.

That's odd because in the meantime people aren't aware of the bonus categories.
