We use the resume to make sure everything works on paper. It's basically like a prospectus.
It includes support terms, girls earning potential (RIO) etc. It's pretty sophisticated. Others base their marriage on casual meetings without delving into the real details. No wonder divorce rates are so high by them...
I'm a product of the yeshiva system, as is my wife and all of both of our friends. All yeshivish by any definition. When we got married no one that either of us knew had a resume. We were given a name, basic stats, and some references. Pictures were for baalobatishe Boro parkers.
So I would dispute the necessity of the resume system.
