if you apply for more than one BOA Alaska card in few months, you risk your miles taken away and alaska mileage account shut down by ALASKA airlines.
They are also shutting down alaska account for SPG points transfers. Because they don't like people booking awards with points transferred from their SPG account!
Alaska plays the trick by saying we need to verify your account and please email us your ID once you send your ID and everything matches, they will reply you with your account shut down notice because per the mileage terms & conditions, the points are NOT YOURS, it is their property and it is their wish to cancel account for no reason or any reason at any time. You will mostly likely not even know or realize pending shut down until you contact ALASKA to book awards.
They won't tell you you violated any terms, rules or anything because you didn't, they will simply tell you, the points are theirs and therefore it is up to them to terminate an account for any reason.
This is worse than Chase shut downs cos ALASKA is taking away our points just becos they don't like them and not because you violated their rules such as selling points or booking tickets for others.
