I wasn't coming to prove my point, just posting that what you called me out on has been discussed by bigger and better, you are entitled to pick your side.

I come from the school of thoght that while it is nice to look in kisvei yados and new translations, the main learning is based on what was around for the previous doros.
(How do you understand based on the HaMeor translation, like what we have or kapach?)

I do not specifically ascribe to your school of thought. Also, the Rambam in yad, written afterwards, makes no mention of that, which upholds the kapach translation. (Also, there is no source in Chazal for such an idea).

It’s a bit rough but I believe the Hamoar translation can be understood that way as well.

Rav Urin Reich has a maamer on this in ישורון, לגwhere he vehemently makes the case for *my understanding. He struggles with the פירוש משניות, unaware of the alternative translations.

Do you agree to R' Uren Reich that if the Brisker Rav did say that then קבלה היא ונקבל? (put the if in bold to save you the trouble)

No not really. I don’t think he meant it really either. I mean maybe if it was an a universally accepted notion by all the Gedolim, but it most definitely isn’t. So why would we be locked in to a shvera Rav?
