What's the deal with flushing tissues down toilets? Is there that big of a difference between tissues and toilet paper? Obviously asking in regards to shabbos. Depending on sewer system, this can make a huge difference
the difference should be obvious. Toilet paper breaks down much easier than tissues.

Even from the time it takes to flush from the toilet to a sewer? Most houses i have been to on shabbos have regular tissues in their bathrooms, not precut or manually cut TP.

As an aside, i have no idea why this is something you would consider "obvious"

have you ever felt the difference between tp and tissues?

There definitely is. Toilet paper disolves and tissues don't.

1. Yes, almost instantaneously. Try it out on your counter.
2. The issue is when it starts blocking things. That can last longer than just from your toilet to the sewer.

Gotcha. So you use only precut TP for Shabbos? If you use tissues will that inevitably lead to a clog? Also, is there a difference between older construction and new construction?

It is not inevitable but it is more likely especially since some people have a tendency to take multiple tissue in a glob.

Confirmed. Scott singleply tp can't be dragged without breaking. Laurel tissues can be dragged.
