Good you were not on this flight - https://www.ynet.co.il/news/article/S1sQLvMMO

I just spoke to someone who's son was probably on that flight and got a positive PCR test when he arrived.

The idiocy is the situation where there's no predictable and reliable procedure. It just begs to be circumvented. It's simply easier than complying with ever changing rules and flights.

On a side note, I won't be surprised if we see a substantial uptick in Crown Heights in the coming weeks.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

11??!! Idiots!!!
And a massive Chillul Hashem. It's one thing not to care about exposing yourself, but to fly when you know you're sick or suspect you are, is not ok. Don't think any Rav, whether for or against social distancing and masking, would say that's allowed.

And a massive Chillul Hashem.

It is indeed.

I have reason to believe these were mostly young teenagers. Total lack of guidance.

IMHO Rabbonim should campaign massively against Davening in airplanes without being seated from beginning to end. Possibly also ban minyonim on airplanes.

I heard Rabbi Frand speak out against davening in the aisles at least three years ago.

Its one thing if the crew is willing to give up the galley, but the Chillul Hashem of davening over non-frum/non-Jewish passengers is too much.

Why doesn't elal have a threat of no-fly list like the other airlines?

Cahim Vchessed reported on February 7 https://chaimvchessed.com/travel-ban-extended-by-two-weeks-new-rules-published/
Dual citizens: Israeli citizens who also hold foreign passports, should be subject to the same rules as Israeli. However, many have simply presented their foreign passports and been permitted to leave.

My daughter in Israel "heard" that they are not letting through dual citizens on departing flights in Ben Gurion. Does anyone have any better information?

Two thoughts:

We have not taught our children how to behave in public. As children, we were constantly warned before trips, etc to behave and let people say, " look how nicely those Jewish kids are acting."  We took the idea of ashrei yoladto very seriously.

And somehow the idea of not letting what others think or feel about Torah and Mitzvos dictate our behavior has carried over to the Derech Eretz actions of daily life. Which is totally against all the teachings of Torah and mussar.

Honestly with all the useless rules and regulations it would seem like the "holy" is מלשון עשויה ככברה.

Thanks for the greeting. I would suggest a DO at Sheba tomorrow where I plan to go for an antibody test, but I don't know what time yet b
How about a DO on Bar Ilan where you can protest against the "holy"?

There are reports of people being stopped and reports of people getting through. One thing to remember is to have PCR Negative test that doesn't state the Teudat Zehut number on it...

If her center-of-life is abroad she is entitled to leave.

At the airport, who is deciding who goes and who stays?
Is it pikud oref at the entrance of the airport or misrad apnim during passport control?

I don't know who's officially in charge of checking, but I'm sure both can stop you if they're in the mood.

The second one is a more intrinsic problem that shows its face in many different aspects.

Per the exception committee website, somebody who is only a foreign citizen, never needs a permit to leave. That would include foreign citizens whose center of life is in Israel and have Bituach Leumi. There is a simple logic to it, because the prohibition to exit is to prevent citizens returning after they exit, but somebody who is not Israeli can be prohibited from returning regardless of where they live and Bituach Leumi, as is the case now.

You can always fall on a rogue agent though.
