What does “referral only” mean?
"Please note: This waiting list is closed to the general public. According to NYCHA, it is only "accepting referrals from the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS)...for Family Unification Program (FUP) Youth whose current assistance is expiring as a result of the 36-month time limit on their voucher without subsequent adequate housing. FUP Youth participants are eligible for regular HCV assistance if: (1) their FUP Youth Section 8 assistance is expiring within the next six months; (2) as a result of the expiration of the FUP Youth section 8 assistance, the FUP Youth participant is at-risk for homelessness; and (3) they meet all eligibility requirements as described in NYCHA’s Administrative Plan.
