I have relatives on yesterday's flight 90. The inbound aircraft coming from NRT was diverted to ORD because of the weather in EWR. They only notified that flight 90 would be delayed to 1am less than 3 hours before the flight. And that became 2am. The crew time expired, but they said they were bringing in a new crew. And then to 3am and 3:30am, until they sent everyone home when they delayed it to 11:30am and then eventually departed at 1:15pm...
To add salt to the wound, they denied them access to the club lounge saying "we are currently not accepting one-time passes". And PP doesn't have any lounges in terminal C.
Just curious if they would be able to get IL compensation for this, as it's not really weather related, rather a ripple affect... If anyone can share any DP's on that it would be greatly appreciated.
