Would I be able to fully use my friend's car if I don't have a key and he remote starts it?
Just download the app and use his login or have him add your login to the car.
It says I need a physical key to set it up in the app

How would this help? ETA: That would only help if I didn't have his log in.
I don't believe there's a way to use phone as key without the physical key the first time.
I used the car all day yesterday. He started it remotely, as long as you don't turn off the car you don't need a key, even if you put it on park.
by turn off the car you mean leave it and close the door?
