I was gonna complain about the "song" choice but it would've came across way too harsh so I'll let @Yehuda57 do his job:

I have no experience with this kind of thing, but looks like you have a YouTube channel already, maybe that's the avenue. Post new ones there, and then you can like to the YouTube videos instead of the twitter videos on places line reddit.

You can also sell ads in the videos, like put a logo in the video corner or at the end.

Yeah YouTube seems way simpler to monetize but twitter is my specialty, and  linking there is a huge pain point to spreading virally.
Embed the YouTube video on Twitter?

The embed idea is a good one didnt know that was possible- Ill look into that for my next one

Thanks guys! For now Im content to ride this out Idk if its going to keep growing/if it has staying power so Im having fun with it. But if I made any $$ that would be cool. #alwaysDDFing lol

Do you just know thousands of player names by heart or do you use the Baseball reference search bar around the syllables you need and then piece it together?
Title: Re: @DonZemmer Baseball Song Parodies

Could be nice if you add the lyrics of the original song on the screen at the same time as the baseball players for people that don't know the songs.

Yeah these are much less effective when people don't know the words. I hardcore regret not using Sogard (for one of the stand on guard parts) as he's a current blue jay. I was torn about even posting this one b/c I used music with my last one and don't really want to step back, I have Gd Bless America for July 4 and don't want to oversaturate, etc. At some point the novelty may wear off, I may have been better off not posting it. Oh well..

Lose yourself is insane. I could hear something that either sounded exactly like the song, or something that made zero sense depending on what. I was focusing on. Kind of like the Yanny/Laurel thing. Very cool.

Anyone here know Twitter really well? Maybe Dan? Trying to keep growing and tactical 2 things Im thinking about.

When is the best time to post to maximize engagement? Specifically should I post something in the morning or the night before.  From what Im reading most engagement is in the morning but I dont want to conflate engagement time with when those tweets were actually posted. I know twitter summarizes what you missed while you were gone and presumably if there is high engagement before you even open your phone its more likely to make that list. But maybe just tweeting and hitting the moving target in real time is more effective?

Is it better to straight tweet or reply to a thread (relevant of course?) I assumed the latter because not only will your followers see it but also anyone reading through that thread. Am I missing something (easily could be).

Ok I'm wrong - people will only see it on their timeline if they follow both me AND the person I am replying to. Had no idea! Better to tweet something myself, and then quote tweet that as a reply if there is something relevant. Learning every day.

Twitter has a lot of influence on what tweets we see or not. Even a regular "non reply" tweet is not always seen if the user's settings are to see "top tweets". And sometimes you can see tweets from someone followed by someone you follow even if you don't follow them yourself. It's a mess.

Easy on YouTube.

You can make your pinned tweet a thread of all the actual songs for people to easily access those. Similar to how this guy pins his favorites: https://twitter.com/BackAftaThis

If ifs and buts :).. I built something up on twitter and have a bit of a feel for how it spreads (getting retweets by big accounts). YT is a totally different animal with getting things trending and no idea how to do that tbh.

Using Youtube in tweets instead of Twitter videos means you don't have to change anything about the way you do things. That's a no brainer.

Right, but IN ADDITION to posting the new one as a new tweet (non reply). You can even do it a day or so later as a way to gain extra views from people who may have missed it when it was posted.

Can you buy a new car with likes?
lol I suppose not. I am leaning toward doing this. The pro of having a single thread with all my videos easily accessible outweighs the cons. I think.

Except twitter algorithms loves my videos being native to twitter and hates links! So I've read.

Oh, I don't know about that, but you've generated enough of a following I would think good ones will get shared plenty, no?

Right but then likes/retweets will be split between multiple posts which I don't love. (views do get aggregated)

You could reply to the pinned tweet with a link to the original tweet. Doesn't look as good, but it should work.

Usually it is forum members who are telling Dan how to run *his* business.

Ok I'm wrong - people will only see it on their timeline if they follow both me AND the person I am replying to. Had no idea! Better to tweet something myself, and then quote tweet that as a reply if there is something relevant. Learning every day.
BTW - just to clarify something here:
If I reply to someone and my tweet begins by mentioning them - that is when the above is true. Meaning, it's a "true reply" and my followers won't see my tweet unless they also follow the person I am mentioning. However, as in the case of Old Town Road, I replied to lilnasx but I removed his mention. By removing it (or placing it later in the tweet), it is something that all my followers see (even if they don't follow him). This is also why people who reply to someone and want all their followers to see the reply will sometimes put a period in front of the tweet. So it will look like: ".@lilnasx" to start the tweet. In case you were wondering (like I was!) why people do that.

I think it's a solid system by twitter, because I would like to reply to lots of different people without all my followers seeing it every single time, so this gives you that kind of control. Anyway, carry on. #themoreyouknow

Are you sure this is current? As in, since they made their replies a properly functioning system? Now when you reply it doesn't mention the account you're replying to in the tweet itself.

I'm not sure if it's current, I got it from this updated Nov 2018 https://buffer.com/library/twitter-mistake.
Let me know if you find anything current and useful that explains all of this (mentions/replies/tweets and who sees them) better.

The least you can do it include the youtube link, or actually a great idea could be, to offer the video with lyrics on the page on YouTube.

So it gets people to watch on twitter interact, and they will also want to go to youtube to match the names and lyrics as you sing it.

Ok, next advice I start charging, maybe then you'll listen :P

I appreciate the opinions/feedback/advice keep it coming.
I know I know you really want lyrics on the screen :). I just think it's too distracting, there is then too much to look at. And if you are looking at the real words then the audio doesn't make sense...
Maybe I can include another version on twitter that has the lyrics - that isn't a bad idea.

I also find myself looking for the lyrics to match it up to.

I am handing you monetization on a silver platter with no detraction from your twitter following. Literally 2 birds with one stone and resolves all your problems with both the YouTube and the lyrics idea.

Next contest do first request from an active MLB player's account.

(Side note, still upset you aren't monetizing youtube with lyrics on page videos.)
