It is NOT safe to buy or sell UA upgrades on eBAY.
Ebay will release the BUYER's and SELLER's info to the airlines after the transaction.

If your UA account & eBay acct share the same info (for example, name, address, email address,
or phone number), the airlines can then link the account to prove that you are buying or selling upgrades.

I have a friend who got his UA account suspended after selling his GPU upgrades on eBAY.
He found out that eBay disclosed his info to UA.

Since when does eBay sell your info?

Ok use a friend's account to sell it, or does the GPU have the sellers info on it? Meaning will anything be triggered if I sell it with fake info and you use it?

And if what your saying is true, I guess that's the reason why people stick to Craigslist for such transactions, or through eBay but make sure the buyer uses someone else's eBay account.

Even if you sell a GPU on eBay using someone else account,
you cannot control who buys your GPU.

If the BUYER's eBay account and his UA account share the same info,
UA can link his acct and then find out who is doing the upgrade for the
eBayer buyer.
