Any differences between these? Or do they all get you the same deals?

No underage fee... and lower prices...no additional fee for added drivers ...
Just from glancing at the different deals it seems to be Chabad is way better than the others...

Yep it has to do with the fact that they have to rent to every one (18+) so with the Corp acc it takes off the fee. As in nj they don't have to rent to you

only MI and NY. Same applies to hotel cheek in - there have been major discrimination law suits over denied check in at MI hotels.
OT: In NY they won't rent SUV's etc. even with the high underage fee. Anyone want to try and sue them?

I've used the Chabad code for Enterprise many times and have always had an additional driver free.
I just went to book a reservation for LIH and it's telling me it'll be $10 for additional driver.

Did the terms change?
Or was it never covered in Kauai?

You should have no problem, there are rules regarding this but 1 day less should be fine, duble check when u pick it up.

In IL even at 21 they won't let u rent a large SUV or a pickup, u have to be 25.
Of course there are those locations that somehow allow it, but your average place will not.

I got denied in monsey even for full size... usaa is an exeption to the rule (just like it is for underage fee) and therefore its not a glitch, rather the local enterprise agents mistake...no? And to prove to the agent, I can make 2 dummy bookings in front of him on the phone(online). One that lets it go through(usaa) and one that doesn't...thoughts?

I told them that at JFK. Manager didn't care. He said its a glitch on the computer and I can't have a minivan. If you need a bigger car then don't rely on it but it's worth a shot if it's cheaper. just have a backup reservation somewhere else

I called. Dont need card since I gave code in already. The USAA code only waves the under 25 fee. Does that make sense?

you still may be asked for the card when you pick up the car.
It waives under 25,and I think gives a small discount on the rental (5%?)

With all companies - car rentals and hotels - where you use a corporate code, there is ALWAYS the risk of someone asking to see proof that you're part of that corporation. Most of the time with car rentals and USAA, no one asks, which is why people suggest using it. However, he's just pointing out that there's always a chance. And in that case, you'll have to pay the higher rate.

last time I used a code (usaa) I was asked for proof.
They will not give a car class higher than standard for under 25 yr old. Even though Usaa is supposed to waive that, and even if you get the website to make the reservation

Well it was kind of their fault, because I went back and had them update the contract. They did update the paper contract, but in the system the state was still excluded. When I pointed it out they waived it. It was many years ago, but I think they wanted to charge me 20 cents a mile. My point just was that they can tell.

Not necessarily.

Be very carefull with this. EVERYONE can refuse to cover, because the contract becomes null and void when you let an unauthorized driver operate the vehicle.

You are technically illegally driving a stolen vehicle, in which case no auto insurance covers you. Your health insurance has such exclusions? (Your life insurance may not cover, i think.)

They adjust the total. An additional benefit is that they cover full LDW (liability, not collision) as part of the 'yeshiva rate'.

As far as I'm concerned. According to Enterprise the only thing the BMG corporate code does is 5% off the rate, and in NJ it waives the underage fee for 21-25.

Airports are usually pretty strict. The trick is to find a Corporate Code that is based in that region. (Eg. The BMG code only works in Southern Jersey)
However if you have some sort of status, they will usually just have the car ready for you, so you could get lucky.

Well that's the problem-you need to show proof and you don't have it. Obviously where they do this it's because they know the tricks so it's a way of them filtering this stuff out. What will qualify and won't in these places I have no idea but either way it's not for someone who doesn't know his cards.

You can usually call the branch number, (some branches will require you to press 1 for English,) press 4 and ask for the manager.

My branch said they'll honor it for me but that's because I have a relationship with them.

There are a few (too many) Chabad codes. Each one has slightly different perks.
That's why although I actually work with a big Chabad Mosad and can easily prove it, I never use the Chabad Enterprise code.

I'm not asking if they will have cars on site. They happen to be terrible with inter-company logistics, however will they rent me the vehicle? I think there is some NJ law against renting a big vehicle to under 25

They can physically give you the car but these rules are usually made by the region. The local representatives may need to explain to the regional manager why they gave a car to someone who was under 25 when it's against the rules.

My point isn't whether or not the vehicle is on site. My point is that a reservation stating that you are booked for an SUV when you are underage means nothing.
FYI: In Minneapolis I rent a Ram 1500 from enterprise when I was young. I don't think that would happen in NY/NJ though.

I just confirmed with the branch manager of Howell (I have an excellent relationship with them) that he can not rent me a vehicle bigger then a Standard. He said it is Enterprises policy in New Jersey and there is nothing he can do about it - and if C"V I get into an accident I WONT BE COVERED. :(
And I just made a reservation IN BRANCH for a full size car. While discussing the rate he clearly mentioned that it would be a full size.

Just spoke with a branch manager at a Rockland County location.  He said that they have nixed the weekend specials for the rest of the year. They also raised the rates in the area by 50%. He says that this is due to the increase in demand. Come summer time the rates will further climb.

Spoke with another manager at a near by location. He aims this is due to the recent recalls dealerships are experiencing. In turn it has driven up the demand for rentals thereby inflating the price.

Enterprise website allows reservations to be made online even when there are no cars on the lot. It doesn't recognize when the car is in the shop and will allow bookings until the system is 100% booked.
As far as the mini van is concerned I have been driven to nearby branches before because my car class wasn't available. I am not sure what the policy is if there is nothing else available.
Been trying that for half hour already. Simultaneously making 2 more reservations.

Enterprise is a company that is all about their customer service. Speak to the branch manager when you return the car and he should sort it out.

There is a new Branch manager as of the beginning of the this month. The old one went corporate. He was great for so many years...
The downside when renting with enterprise is that by the time that you finally build a relationship with branch employees they are off to a different location.

This fee is waived for spouses and USAA family members who also will drive the car.

Just go in with your shirt untucked, no jacket, but wearing a hat

I'm not underage and don't need an extra driver. What code do I use to get the best price, or should I sign up for a corporate account? This won't be airport. Will be US but not NY or NJ.

Anyone used CHABAD's enterprise code in Mexico?  They require third party liability (TPL) and it's optional coverage (but really should be required).

So when you use CHABAD's code, it bypasses completely all the additional coverages (including TPL).  So my question is if the code also covers TPL or will they require you to purchase it when you get to the counter?

Try searching with the rental being a week longer then you need it for.

At pickup, you can have them change the dates to what you need. The point now is to have the system confirm the cheaper daily rate.

So instead of a 2 day rental, have it as a week and 2 days (so it gets a daily rate and a weekly rate).

Awesome! You've done this and it works? I've tried to add a corporate number to a regular booking and they would/could not do it even with a lot full of cars not booked.

I've for sure done it with Hertz multiple times, I believe with Enterprise (or National) as well.

You're contract is for 24 hours with a late grace period of up to 30 minutes. After that hourly charges apply until a second day rate kicks in. But regular CS number prob best bet, say there was crazy traffic or something.

For next time, you can try (I've only tried / needed once in the past (National- local branch)) with getting them to print the contract and give me the car, but change the "charges start at time" to a few hours after I left (to match 24 hours, when I would be back).

Interesting when I got the car I asked them about returning late but just talked to some random person and he told me there would be a late fee.
I should have made a bigger deal about it but I was in rush to leave the airport and get going on my trip.

Is there any way to get a second driver for free, use a Costsco upgrade (7% discount/free driver) or use a plat free upgrade perk when booking on points with Chase?

Is showing the plat good enough?  DPs?  CS says that only one CSP is allowed and booking through Chase to use the points acts a a CSP.  Is there any other way to book Enterprise using points?

I have a 5 rentals in my Enterprise account. I recently realized that I would have a lot better value from them at National.
I called them, and was told that they can only transfer over rentals from the last 6 months, which would be only 3 instead of 5. The 2 that aren't included are from March.
Any way around this?

I'm trying to rent a premium SUV one way rental for one day. If I put 4 days then it shows the SUV available but if I put 1 day then it shows it unavailable. Note that on a one day rental it still shows other cars available just not the SUV.
Can I not rent for 4 days and return after only one? Will I still get charged for 4? Anyone have experience with this?

I know with hertz you can make the reservation that allows the car to be available (in your case for 4 days) than you can modify the reservation and change the return date to earlier which will lower the price and keep your car reserved
