Title: ebay fakes
Post by: rover771 on June 06, 2008, 03:57:53 AM
please share from experience things to look out for when buying with ebay and/or story's of how you got burned with ebay fakes. i know there are ebay guides on spotting fakes but they are not always so useful so its good to what others have experienced to know what to stay away from.

thanks!

The best way to keep away from them is by getting scammed once and learn your lesson, just kidding that's stupid, well that' s my case. You need to look out people sell stuff not to much under priced but pretty cheap, so you think your getting a good deal cause its not an iPhone that cost $500 and your paying $100 rather your paying $400, and if you look close it says everything that comes in the box, and at the end it says "please note you are only getting information on how to get it for that price, and you will not be getting the Phone and box" and yes i lost about $500 from that ugly scam.

Although I never fell for them, iv'e gotten many fake paypal letters ,fake amazon ship now letters, the main thing to look out for is on amazon never do buissness without the website ; if someone sends you a request to pay an extra $200 to ship to Nigeria ITS A SCAM same thing with ebay. Also lacoste polo shirts most of them selling on ebay are fake
the most important thing is to read the whole page very very carefully

That lady was sick.
I guess that means you really have to be careful reading everything before buying anything on there.

Judgement for the plaintiff in the amount of $5,000 - WOW. For a $500 scam, and for posting negative feedback.

WOW.

I've had bad experiences buying stuff on Ebay, but nothing that AMEX wouldn't rectify...

I think Amex pretty much covers everything.
