Are you making a speculative booking for the future?
55k +$300 RT in Lie Flat, with a day in Madrid. Seems like a great price if they actually fly the A330s in the end.

Do you think there will be other airlines coming up with reduced mileage sales?
How come we didn't see more of that during this slowdown?
-
I am only considering booking (to Europe) because I have a European passport. Otherwise, I would advise not to.

I'd love to book this for the winter for TLV-JFK, but I'm afraid they still won't be flying to TLV. And I highly doubt they'd book me direct if the flight is cancelled.

Wow. That's amazing, in my experience dealing with them was incredibly difficult. They were not accommodating at all.

Me too. Just went to Austria for the Summer with the family. Empty planes. We all had 4 middle seats to sleep. And Swiss doesn't drive you nuts with the masks. They treat you like humans.
Want to take advantage of the Iberia sale for Succos, but there is no connection to Vienna on the same day. :-(

Trying to transfer from BA to Iberia, but keep on getting error message. Accoutn is old and have transferred without an issue in the past. After finally getting through to a call center in Spain, they told me if the account doesnt have activity in 2 years it needs it be activated again, and only earned miles count, not transferred. Was able to transfer 1k points from Chase, but still cant transfer from BA. Anyone know a workaround?

Considering rolling the dice on March TLV-MAD in business for 10K Iberia Avios. Pretty hard to beat redemption level for nearly 5 hours in a proper business class with beds.

I can verify that first hand, not sure if he's the one that posted that..

I've found IB incredibly difficult to deal with, even for much simpler matters. I think that this is a strong YMMV.

I'm looking to book in early January, it is coming up as 40,650 miles for NYC-TLV in business (for example, Jan 11). Flights are operated by Iberia. What am I doing wrong?

any way to price out tickets without miles in my account?
looking at JFK-LHR & CDG-JFK

I don't think JFK-LHR would work on this promo, has to be Iberia metal.

Is your Iberia acct. registered as U.S. or Spain?

it's not pricing out. Once you pick the flights you got a pop-up that you don't have enough miles. You can see in the grayed-out area the miles and taxes etcetera but it seems to be without the sale i.e. JFK-LHR came out to 63,500 (don't remember exactly but somewhere around there) for j which doesn't seem to be the regular price or the discounted price

I was able to price them out from this link before transferring miles from Chase:

Their milage booking tool.

Decided against pulling the trigger since I wanted 4 seats in business TLV-MAD-TLV for March, and the only dates were on an A320 with Euro business. It's a great deal, and I do tend to be a "gambling man" in these situations, but between the virus uncertainty and aircraft type uncertainty, I gave it a "soft" pass. I was excited to take my entire family into bed class for only 40K Avios, but no sense in letting the flight product dictate the vacation destination if it can't be guaranteed.

They are changing out A330's for A320's on some flights as days go by, so there is an additional gamble that the lie flat seat you booked won't be there when you fly.
For example: Feb 23 MAD-TLV.
(NYC-MAD remained unchanged, for now...)
My thoughts: If TLV is open by then, demand should skyrocket and they will change back, and if not, than no one is flying regardless...
