The brokers, who usually do longer-haul stuff, are shying away from Avios now.

Good luck!

I'm not very familiar with BA's ff program so please excuse me if this is a dumb question
I searched and nothing came up.
Is there any way to extend the expiration date on BA miles?

If you have the CC, even spending a $1.00 would do it.

In short, you need some activity.

It may, if you let the charge sit for long enough that the points get credited.

maybe a 1k transfer from amex?

Point expire at the end of this month but i guess it can't hurt to try. Is it confirmed that its' considered activity?

Do you mean BA?

AMEX transfers to BA and the transfer likely counts as "activity."

Can this be done without an Amex cc? Is it possible to have a MR acct without a cc?

Not only do you need an AMEX CC to do this, you need a Gold or Plat with the ability to xfer miles to do this.
