Due to covid I won't be celebrating Thanksgiving this year. Or any other year FWIW.

I am going to regret this. Christmas I understand but what's wrong with Thanksgiving?

Like for Pesach, nuclear family only.
Here's hoping for a very different 2021.

While it maybe that there's nothing wrong, I'm sure you don't want to hear about me not doing anything about Thanksgiving, and keep quiet about the massive Chanukah party we have planned

He wasn't completely serious, but also most frum people don't celebrate Thanksgiving with a big family feast (god knows we finally made it through Yom Tov season, and with chanuka on the horizon!) - it's more of an off day akin to July 4 i.e. some families celebrate, some don't because of life responsibilities.

(There's a famous tongue in cheek saying from a rabbi of yesteryear, "we don't need one day for Thanksgiving, we should be giving thanks everyday!".)

...but the stuffing. Talk about addictive.
Here is the dilemma. To stuff or not stuff the turkey. Stuff the turkey and the stuffing is moist and tasty but it dries out the turkey.

Best is capon (baby turkey) stuffed with onions, rubbed with kosher salt, cooked in roaster overnight. That's it, and DELICIOUS! Great on Pesach

The turkey itself is awesome, and with the onions, even better

If you want a delicious turkey, deep fry it. Inject it the night before with your favorite mixture.

Not very big on thanksgiving celebration, but will be the same as every year: Turkey dinner (plus other yummies) with nuclear family.

Make “stuffing” separately?

Just doesn't taste nearly as good. DW does make it separate also since you can only put so much in the bird.

This is an easy one to answer. She probably had an amazing one for when it was stuffed inside but you need one better for outside if that is what you want to do....

Yes yes, it is officially debatable, but the broad consensus is, that it is kosher.
It was just a weak attempt to take this thread off topic😜

To bad others that are engaged in "egregious" behavior don't get the message.
