Iím sure the MSM is pointing out that he was a drug addict on his 3rd marriage
That was the only negative thing they could say while he was alive
I actually didn't know that or see that anywhere now. He was a paragon of hate who made a career spewing vitriol and was a hideous influence on the country & the world. His death should be celebrated by every peace seeking person - והתענגו על רב שלום.

During the AIDS crisis, the ever vile Rush Limbaugh had a radio segment called ďAIDS updateĒ where he read a list of gay men who died of AIDS to mock them as he played celebratory music, bells and horns

He called most of the country terrorists who want America to fail, called veterans wounded in Iraq "phony soldiers", convinced people to stay in Florida and not fall for government scare tactics before secretly escaping the hurricanes, and was literally killed by something he encouraged and claimed wasnít hazardous.

May his evil legacy die with him, יימח שמו וזכרו.

This is despicable, whether it's about Rush Limbaugh or RBG.
The only thing that's despicable is comparing those two.

ďIt is never wise to seek or wish for another's misfortune. If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang.Ē - Charley Reese

Perhaps you should start with opening a dictionary to tell the difference between celebrating and seeking, and then reconsider if your moral compass is Charley Reese or Shlomo Hamelech who said באבוד רשעים רינה or his father who said וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע דָּוִד֮ כִּ֣י מֵ֣ת נָבָל֒ וַיֹּ֡אמֶר בָּר֣וּךְ ה' אֲשֶׁ֣ר רָב֩ אֶת־רִ֨יב חֶרְפָּתִ֜י מִיַּ֣ד נָבָ֗ל וְאֶת־עַבְדּוֹ֙ חָשַׂ֣ךְ מֵֽרָעָ֔ה וְאֵת֙ רָעַ֣ת נָבָ֔ל הֵשִׁ֥יב ה' בְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹ. and יִשְׂמַ֣ח צַ֭דִּיק כִּי־חָזָ֣ה נָקָ֑ם.

Something I realized over the years, there were times unfortunately that there were negative stories on אחינו בני ישראל & while the MSM felt the great need to vomit it all out again & again (including other right wing talk show hosts), Rush, to his great credit, largely ignored these stories. Quite a few times I dreaded what he'll say & let out a huge sigh of relief at 3:00.
And 99.999% of us will forever be grateful to him for that.

If RL was celebrating was trashing gays for being immoral, that's one thing. IINM he trashed them for being subhuman, and that's deplorable.

The question is which side the Torah hates...
but your views on politics donít come from the Torah, they come from Jesus. Your role models who influence your thoughts on politics all believe you will burn in Hell for not accepting Jesus as your lord and savior. Many of your political ideologies come from Christianity not from Judaism. The sad thing is youíre so far into it you donít realize youíre just another Frum Jesus/Rush/Sean fanboy.

Quick question, without mentioning any names, are there any Rabbis that support your views? Have you ever thought of asking one of your political views align with the Torah?

On a policy level, neither side is the one of Torah. And as for pundits and politicians, while some may have some character traits worthy of emulating, on the whole they are the furthest thing from Torah role models.

And as for hating, even if you want to spend your energy on hating evil, you're not going to be able to easily spot it only on one side of the aisle. Rush has plenty of rishus that's worthy of your ire.

Or maybe he aligns with Republicans on some issues and Democrats on others (as any thinking person should, life is non-binary) and feels the mixture of policies Trump represents is inferior to the mixture of policies Biden represents. Tons if you would only open your eyes to see it. In fact, I have seen numerous comparison showing significantly more donated to charity by Rs than Ds. May I ask whatís wrong with being happy when those people die from AIDS?
[...]
( I even think I saw Reb Avigdor Miller say that, but Iím not positive)
See The Path of Life: The Shabbos Drashos of Rabbi Avigdor Miller, pages 106, 140, and 168.

I'm not sure I was clear there.

My response was not intended to source an answer for what's wrong with that (as would be realized when
looking it up). I omitted the middle line of the quote because I thought it was just slightly different from
what Rav Miller said (at least in this source), not realizing that made it look (without reading the quoted
post in full) like this was about whether Rav Miller had said "What's wrong with...," which it wasn't.

I could see that happening quicker

I'm about to say an opinion for which I'm not qualified, as I've only really heard Bongino through his snippets on Fox News, but not knowing about something
never stopped me before

I think that Bongino is a bad choice to take over Limbaugh. My perception of Bongino is that he is a shtickmacher, more focused on the optics then the truth of the message. Limbaugh wasn't popular because of the shtick. You need to get someone entertaining, but first and foremost, an honest conservative.

Agree completely. I can't stand listening to those types.

Problem is, the few principles, honest conservatives already have their own show, (prager, levin) or they aren't well known enough.

I'm sure their are plenty of no-names who are really good, and the radio people probably know. Guys like the young Mike Pence (though I have no idea how entertaining he was,) who I assume was not well-known on a national level before he went into politics. I would think they would have a rotating system of guests until they identify which one gets the most listeners. Similar to what Fox seems to be doing now with their "Primetime" show.

I think Ben Shapiro would be much better than Dan Bongino, but even Shapiro sometimes gets caught up in his Shtick, and probably does not appeal to as wide an audience as Limbaugh did because of his fast-pace style.

Mark Steyn also seems like a better choice to me.

There are a lot of no names that are excellent, but the syndicate (is that what it's called)? doesn't want to start from scratch. Many people won't tune in without name recognition.

He's not prime time material anyway. Just not the right style. You need to have really wide appeal

Agreed. Heís filled in for the great Rush many times. Although there is no replacement for the man with the nicotine stained fingers behind the golden microphone.

well if bongino is now recovering from  cancer himself maybe he DOES have nicotine stained fingers...  :o
anyways my choice wud be mark steyn or mark levin if heíd just cool it a bit- donít want to hear a guy yelling at me in the middle of the day. But heís no shtickmacher imo

Levin is always angry & bitter. Rush knew how to chill & have a good time. I canít think of any good replacement. Whenever there were guest hosts filling in I'd be done before the first break.

We forgot to mention the most obvious replacement, which leaves me perplexed as to why anyone else was even considered. Heshy Tishler.

Could actually work once they transplant the other half of Rushís brain that was always tied behind his back.

Why not the jobless guy at the other end of the Palm Beach strip, The former President himself?? He'd love doing daily rally talk.
Would be the most fun radio host. If former mayor Rudi can, perhaps former president Trump can too.

Most of them stinks. DJT is one I would actually enjoy listening to. Win win scenario.
