Title: Can you Downgrade from SP to regular saphire?

Im doing so in order to avoid annual fee, will I lose my UR Points?

No, but you won't be able to transfer them to airlines and hotel programs anymore.

so which card do you recommened downgarding to ?

Im pretty sure you can only downgrade to the sapphire from the SP. As long as you know someone with the SP you can always transfer your points to them to transfer for you to hotel/airlines.

So I could transfer my UR to a family member without incurring penalties?

No you do it through the UR website, it's quite easy.

Thanks, and i have the united card for about 5 month now, and they are telling that i cant downgrade it unless i have it for at least a year does that make sents?
