I just checked JFK-YYZ and it works. You need to change the rate options to the more expensive one that comes with unlimited mileage.If you're over 25, you can use the default contract ID; should be for the higher rate which includes unlimited mileage.

My response was about the free day coupon, which is what the person asked also if it waived the underage fee. Not any contract id, which should be a separate discussion so as not to confuse him/her.

National has 2 types of "free days":
1) 1-2 Free, those Free days all expired in June.
Can be used by anybody/sold since its a coupon code that you put in online. Valid up to a Full Size (including 1 way rentals).
2) Free days from rentals credits, those expire December 31 after the year they were earned.
Non transferable as they must be booked in the account they were earned. Valid on ANY car size bookable online (including 1 way rentals).
If ever doing a 1 way rental with National Free Days, make sure the rate you picked includes unlimited mileage so you don't get hit with an extra fee at the end.
There are generally 2 rate options available for these rentals, 1 cheaper daily option that has a charge per mile driven, and 1 more expensive option that includes unlimited mileage. Now since the coupon covers the entire daily rate, you can pick the more expensive "all inclusive" option to avoid that charge.

AFAIK, only regular free day's may be used at Manhattan locations. One Two Free day's cannot be used because they are applied as coupon's; which the Manhattan locations restrict.

You may have in the past, but Manhattan locations have been restricted for any coupon use for quite awhile now. In fact if you look at the T&C's of the current National coupons, they specifically mention "not available for use at Manhattan locations"

There are 2 Honeywell codes one with insurance and one without I always use the one without just to be safe (cc covers my insurance)

You just need to find someone who is willing to go through the trouble to do it and expect to probably pay more than a 1-2 Free coupon.

Has anyone had experience with the following. I have four rental credits in my account and I need one more to hit the free day. I have a rental car out now for a week. I am returning it on Sunday. This will be my fifth credit. How long does it really take for the credit to post to your account (I called National twice and they said sometimes it posts right away and other times it takes a few days.) ? I want pick up another car on Sunday for an expensive one way rental and would really want to apply the free day towards that rental.

You can call them to credit it at the end of the rental as far as I've heard.

I am going to be using some national free days next week and I want to make sure I am covered by CC insurance. I read that you can make a normal reservation and apply coupon after the reservation is complete.

Does using the free days from Rental credits count as rentals for 1,2 Free ?Update - Used two free days (two separate rentals) no credit, however I did get 75 points per a rental for using the in app reservation.
Just found this on the FAQ,
Do I receive credit for rentals that I booked with a Free Rental Day coupon?
You can receive credit for the qualifying paid portion of your rental. For example, if your three-day rental included one free day and two paid days, then you would be eligible to receive credit for the two paid days.

You can reserve a van no need for aisle
It's a coupon code you enter on the website, you can resell it if you don't end up using it

I have had great luck with cars at the Yorkville location. I havent seen a non-suv at that location. If you are looking to go to BUF and you can pick up the car downtown instead of at YYZ, then this may be beneficial.
At the same time, the emerald aisle at YYZ might have many more options.

I dont think you can use for Manhattan.

How long does it usually take when you transfer free days from one account to someone else?Timeframe is accurate. If you have and might want to sell, do the transfer now to any account, they convert the free days into coupon codes (that can then be used by anybody) and email to the 2nd account. They don't actually attach anything to the 2nd account.

what value are you referring to here that you will be losing? the EE codes enable you to reserve any available car class for free. that is the value. you dont have to reserve a midsize and "hope" they have the car class you want, you get to reserve the car you want (whether luxury, van, suv...) for free.

this is incorrect based on my experience.
