Agreed, have done business with them before. They even made good on points when an account got closed.
But here they have strung me along and then this... No mention about anything, just disappear.

Looks like a bunch of DDFers have called them.
Some lady picked up the phone (with a dog in the background). I asked for Chris, she got all tense sounding and said - You have the wrong company, this is first class travel...
I asked for George and again she got all tense...

you need to know the broker personally
that if he goes bankrupt he should personally be reliable and not disappear .

These guys were referred to me by a good friend who never had an issue with them. I have dealt with them for over a year with no issues until this.
They were telling me that they were going to pay me, dragging it on.
I would have rather them just tell me upfront they have a problem instead of disappearing.

Isn't that exactly what bankruptcy laws are for? So they are NOT liable in the event of bankruptcy.

Not to mention that even without bankruptcy, they're in no way PERONALLY liable for their corporation's debt or obligations.

I think what he is trying to say is that if it's an acquaintance then he will feel bad and probably pay you back even if he isn't legally obligated to.

Assuming he's able to pay back.
When something goes wrong with these sort of business, they can be nice earners one day and get deeply into tens of thousands dollars in debt overnight.

I would suggest that when someone was problems with a buyer he should post it here so other-ones will be more careful.
A lot of people are telling me now that they also had problems in the last few weeks with him, if I would have seen it here I wouldn't be losing now over $5k...

How does one find folks who want to pay Ca$h for Business or First class and avoid the brokers?
If you find them, you can be a broker

Amex rates are split these days between full access with all call in info and online access only.  Online access only is worth less because then you can only transfer to accounts matching the amex cardholder.

Yeah, because frumma yidden never scam anyone  ::)

I got 1.45 last week for a family members MR (113k), and the broker had offered to pay 1.5 if he could pay when used.  My family member chose to take the 1.45 with immediate pay.

Yes a frum yid knows that the second he won't pay someone he won't be able to buy one more point from anyone, theses people that scammed me probably already opened a new business with a new name and people are selling their points.....
