You should probably write which type of crowd you are looking for. In Chabad, Eli Marcus is very decent.

Brings back memories of
I was trying to convey my disgust of looking for loopholes to excuse behaviors that we learn are immoral in elementary school. It would less considered bullying if the assailants would use their real names when making their attacks.   The paradigm for cowardly ambushes in Judaism is Amalek.

Im just trying to showcase live Jewish music on this thread and I wish it would stay polite.  so please people ease of on the negativity.

Nobody was "judging another human being" here. We were simply stating our opinion on his musical abilities. I personally think that he is deficient in that area.
You are free to disagree. This is a public forum, and is meant for those who can handle disagreement. Don't get all sensitive.
Just as we evaluate products, retail stores, doctors, and jugglers, we can evaluate a singer. A singer is offering a product, and this is a forum, where among other things, we can discuss the product being offered.

1) Using words like "rubs me the wrong way" is equivalent to cyber bullying.
2) Read up thread, many singer options are posted, yet he is the only one to receive these negative comments.
3) This forum thread was started to look for singers not look for "singers I don''t want".
4) Being that this is a public forum, sensitivity, thought and careful evaluation should be made before making any statements

Okay, so a lady calls in the hamezamrim office, she wants to ordre them for her son's bar mitzvah.

Benny Friedman = $5k.
I had Benny sing at my wedding. Was right before he released his first CD. Band offered to upgrade the singer for extra $200!
Should have posted it back then, wonder if it would have made DDMS.
Benny for 96% off msrp!

Had him at an event, he was phenomenal!
I mean, he's no Yitzchak Perlman, but for the songs he does know (hint), he is really good! I highly recommend.

BTW, if you need other names, I know a few very good ones, some (female ones) very reasonable.

I was actually trying to help someone who posed a question here in their decision making.
IMHO the two are very closely related. While for your post there is already a dedicated thread for that.
Unless you were trying to point out a great violinist in the video ???

he sings at all types of weddings (and bar/bat mitzvas, sheva brochos, events, concerts, etc). Usually in chassidishe havura (sp?)

Anyone heard Dovid Stein sing at a wedding? How is he
Whoever needed him is probably married already, but, for the record, he sang at my wedding and he was great.

Anyone have a number for Mezi's productions?
Either I'm not spelling the name right or they're called something different than what I'm familiar with.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

  On another note...
Is there any other decent productions out there that you guys were happy with or liked, aside for Yossi stendik and shimmy levi?

Not sure. Going to have to ask this friend who gave me that name to begin with.

He's a production or is he with a band?

What about this guy I see that was meantioned on the forum in another thread?

For band I would recommend Chaim Rosenblatt from Evanal. He is known for his amazing prices. His number is 3477332034

Now to the thread title, who do you guys recommend as a singer in the 1.5k-$2k range?
A bit less is also fine  ;) or a bit more if need be.

Chassidish is preferred! As they're usually amazing! Or any decent one.
