I had a thought of an automatic toothbrush that brushes your mouth for you and is 100% automated. It would be a device that is mounted on a stand which can be adjusted to your height. You put your mouth on the mouthpiece of the device and it does the rest for you. Brushes, flosses, the whole nine yards.

Then the conveyor belt takes you along for an automatic shave, gets you dressed and puts on your shoes.

Ok here's a serious one:

A diaper changing machine. You sit your baby in it (kind of like a washing machine with a circular hole at the top, and some sort of harness hanging below), the device removes the special diaper, then jets spin around inside, spraying water and soap at the child's lower half. Finally a new diaper is fastened and the child is squeaky clean and smelling great!

Automated haircut machine. Tons settings until it's perfect. Then all you do is put your head in the machine and you get the exact same perfect haircut every single time no matter where you are. And you can change the settings as you feel.

That is not a good idea, and here's why:
If you patent a low-cost package that incorporates the design, you can sell it just a few times and make money for life.
If you create a product that the end-user consumer has to purchase: 1) You have to sell thousands individually, or through retailers. 2) It adds cost to the consumer that they may not be willing to spend; companies can absorb the extra few cents and raise the price per package.

Valid point. And let me add on to what you said that not only will the company be able to just raise the price by a few pennies they will also not need to put as many chips inside the container because there will be this plastic thing on the bottom which will be taking up space...

From Wikipedia
Quote
"Wise Men of Chelm"
Main article: Jewish humour Chełm

Jewish folklore makes fun of the Jewish residents of Chełm (Yiddish: כעלעם, Hebrew: חלם; often transcribed as Helm) as well-meaning fools. There stories often center around the "wise" men and their silly decisions.

For example: One Jewish Chełm resident bought a fish on Friday in order to cook it for Sabbath. He put the live fish underneath his coat and the fish slapped his face with his tail. He went to the Chełm court to submit a charge and the court sentenced the fish to death by drowning.

Face sponges can be marked with a couple red/blue/green strands of plastic from onion/potato bags.  (Those also make good shabbos sponges when rolled up.)  The strands can be tied through both eyes across the "bridge" of the nose.

Everytime I fly I think about this.. How about these ideas for plane travel... change up the way planes are connected to the jetway:

1. Load passengers onto a plane through the back of the plane first (first class passengers walk all the way down to get to first class etc), this way subsequent groups that board don't have to wait/fight to get through preceding groups who are still dealing with their carryons.

2. Disembark using all the exits, not just the front.

That is much easier when the plane is not attached directly to the terminal and is done easily by rolling 2 sets of stairs up to the plane. They used to do that in TLV. Once the plane needs to pull up to the terminal you lose a lot of flexibility to the practicalities of parking a plane.

I don't think it's a significant cost, the plane is already equipped with the multiple doors. It's just some renovation work on the airport(s) side.

Not sure why you'd need extra wheels. It's been done before in a number of ways:
http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/watch-electric-car-drives-sideways-parallel-park-article-1.1421229
http://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/canadian-william-liddiard-omnidirectional-wheels/

It'll never be commercially viable though. Mechanically you'd be trading too much to make it worthwhile.

Very interesting! I think part of why southwest/unassigned is fastest, is because people are in a hurry to grab the best seat they can since it's an unknown, so they physically move faster.

Not listed in the graphic is front to back, which is what I thought most airlines still do. They seem to be saying all these airlines go back to front including AA, is that the case? I guess IDK because I usually have priority boarding or something but I thought it was still front to back, which is clearly the worst option, because even if people are gathered around the same row/bin in the back-to-front scenario, at least other people can begin their own battles ahead of them. Whereas with front to back, literally 173 people have to wait while a couple of people are putting their stuff in an early row. And I could've sworn that still happens.

Most airlines board priority first, and then board back to front. Front to back, even if it was used, would be the worse of all according to that video, it would have all the issues of back to front plus the ones you mentioned

That's what I was thinking of. I noticed the similarity of design.
Next up: A fidget spinner with strings you pull to start (like a mini ceiling fan).
Another great Idea: A chargeable portable cordless phone base that fits in your pocket, allowing you to use your cordless phone everywhere.

Man your sharp today... UPS method and BILLION $ ideas...

What's next? 😜

I think it's time for an invention for a car with pre set settings for the seats, mirrors and the rest of the necessary funtions to drive.

I find it a pain every time someone uses my car and starts to rearrange the seat and mirrors, then when I come back in I have to spend 20 min trying to get in a semi comfortable position. A real pain in the neck.
There has to be a solution with a switch which has preset options for up to a few drivers,(just like the garage keys on the overhead near the sun visors.)
So where do I start with this invention to start putting them in all the new cars?

Many cars already have that for the seat position and some have it also for the side mirrors.

When parking and you go buy the parking spot and realize, that the spot is to small for me, but in essence you fit perfectly you can't really see the length of the car while in it, unless the spot is much bigger or you start to park in the spot and you see you fit or its to small.
Some sort of invention with a Laser type of light which reflects on the curb in front and back of your car and you can see right away if you have enough space just by looking at the lasers reflecting on the ground.

You desperately need to go to an Auto Show, and see whats out there. Cars nowadays come with dozens of features, like memory seats, backup cam, blind-spot cam/sensors, auto-park, parking assistant, vacuum, refrigerator, heated seats,  key-less entry, intelligent key system, motorized mirrors, etc. etc. some of these even for years.

Or even a Ford explorer.. my point was even the self parking cars will not work when the spot is to small.
You'll need to hand in your man card to use it though
Not every invention is about yourself, only bothered me now as I was looking for a parking spot last night and after circling once I saw the same spot which I saw before the first circle and said to myself it's way to small and there's no way I'm fitting in that spot, but only after someone standing on the sidewalk and insisting that I try to park it with exactly 2inch of space in between after the car was stuffed into the spot.
Doesn't my backup camera do this already?
How does that help for a parking spot before even trying to get in,my initial question was to know before sitting and trying to go into the tiny spot.

Have been in cars which had them all except for memorized seats and mirrors.

Why would you switch to automatic? Nowadays most use a car in every situation, even to walk down the block, if your not getting your exercise with the windows how else? ;)

I've been working on an invention that will make the plane automatically hold its altitude, heading, and speed so that pilots can relax during long flights. Sort of like cruise control for planes.

How is it a no-brainer?
If you automatically change all passwords to caps or no caps before submitting, it's a terrible idea because now you have passwords that far easier to brute force. Passwords are for security, not convenience. Get lastpass if you don't like typing passwords.
