Title: How much do u have in savings?
Post by: yoohoo on November 29, 2015, 08:59:12 PM
I'm 24, married 3 years with a 2 yr old. Wife works part time, I've been working for a year already...
No support. No programs. No investments. Renting.
How much do I think I should have saved by now?

How much do I think I should have saved by now?
Doesn't that depend on both yours and your wifes jobs?

That kinda depends whether you work at Glatt Bite or you are a lawyer, etc...

If he works at glatt bite he should have a little saved up, if hes a lawyer he should have none, Probably Only negative numbers there at age 24.

+1. Not too much student debt from learning to work in Glatt Bite. Should have some savings, until the kid gets a bit older...

You should have about 6 months of living expenses.

I find the best way to it is have a goal of when you want to have that amount and split it up by month (such as 163 a month will get you 10,000 in five years) then you should have a separate account for extras.
What I mean by that is if you want something (extra not something important) you wait until you have enough money in that account.
