Title: Jetblue Oversell?
Post by: zagguru on June 24, 2016, 08:08:49 AM
Does Jetblue really never oversell? Seems impossible.
Has anyone ever gotten bumped on Jetblue?

They claim they never do.

Why would that seem impossible?

They don't oversell, which makes bumping almost never happen.

That said, they do it if they have to.

Why would that seem impossible?

Only because every other airline does. I thought jetblue saying they dont oversell was just some sort of marketing gimmick

I assume you would only be denied boarding if you get to the gate after the cutoff time and they let standby passengers on the plane. Really not so hard to only sell 200 tickets if your plane has 200 seats. I happen to feel that Jetblue's service/amenities surpasses competitors by a lot when it comes to Y domestic. I was streaming Netflix for free, while eating unlimited (kosher) snacks.

Pretty sure I ate more than my fair share of free snacks on a $48 flight to miami
