Everyone has their opinion's about Their best cup of Joe.
Brand, Style & Location you first discovered it.
I recall having a delicious illy Latte on FC JFK-HKG
or a local french brand Espresso at Chanel on Rue Cambon
or a cup of illy Cafe Au Lait with a extra shot of espresso from the now closed Cafe Leah
What was or is your Favorite cup of Joe?

French press in Lakewood is hands down best coffee spot. Pretty much everything they have is awesome. I particularly like the Columbian.
-
I honestly can't taste the difference between a Keurig cup of coffee and their $8 coffees

Keurig tastes like burnt plastic with a hint of coffee.
French Press has great coffee like Guatemalen which I get for $2.25.

cold brew method, I take a 1-1.5 bag of coffee (whole beans only) and then grind it coarsely (similar to what one would use for a French press) and split it into 2 nut milk bags with room and close them up and put both of those in a bigger nut milk bag and close that one too. then I put it in a big Rubbermaid container and pour in about 3 liters of water and leave it on the counter for 12 hours and in the fridge for about 6. I remove the bag and squeeze out the excess liquid and pour the liquid into multiple mason jars and place them in the fridge. I use medium roasted beans. ive tried peets but the best coffee I've found for cold brew is the kicking horse three sisters blend. the jars last about a month for freshness.

For a short period I had a roommate who was VERY into his coffee. No clue what exactly he did or exact brands, but that was damn good coffee. All I know is he had very expensive machine. Besides for the taste thw effect was much better as well.

Fresh beans prepared with cheap equipment even makes the best coffee.
Pour over, French press, percolator etc etc

I always thought that Kopi Luwak was the most expensive coffee in NY (or the states) they go for $30 to $100 per cup (I tried it in Bali a few times, delicious & kosher, according to talmud)

Hands down, best I've had was at the Doka Estate coffee plantation in San Jose, Costa Rica, right near Paos Volcano National Park. We did their tour, and part of the tour was a taste test of 4 or 5 different varieties. i don't remember what it was called, but I don't remember ever having a better cup than one of those.

What if you had that same coffee by your desk tomorrow ?

I thought it tasted like coffee. On that note, I have plenty of it by me if anyone wants to try the crappiest cup of coffee.
