http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g28966-Activities-Vermont.html maybe check this out as it is broken to sub-categories based on cities. It all depends on where your going to be as Vermont is fairly big.

Headed to Vermont for the weekend, iy"h!

Never skiied, but I'd like to try it out.

Aside from the items you can rent- what winter/outerwear gear is a must?

Will I freeze without proper snow pants?

If you never skied, you will be on the floor a lot and you will need snow pants!

Snow pants, thick socks, gloves, goggles, hat (unless you rent a helmet). If it's very cold I'd recommend long johns and a ski mask

if u don't have points u are pretty stuck. Living social had a special on the adjacent townhouse on property a lil while back but that is prob dead. Search equinox tow homes deal and see if groupon/travelzoo or someone else has a deal still available, usually about 200 a night for a suite (note that isn't SPg and u don't get SPg points or perks).

We stayed at the condos.
They rent it out for the summer, so mostly jewish.
Minyanim e.t.c.
They have a guy that gives details where to go on trips...
They sell some kosher food in the office.
2 private pools.
Though the ladies must drive to the Inn area to swim.
It's a nature and skiing area much like New Hampshire. Beutiful. We took a nature walk every day.

Shelburne Museum is very cool and interesting, and only about 15-20 minutes away. You can also take a ferry across the lake (it can take cars) to the NY side and go to Ausuable Chasm or Lake Placid area. Mt. Mansfield (road or tram to top of Vermont's tallest mountain), Stowe (gorgeous hiking and biking), and Ben and Jerry's tour are pretty close as well.

I was there around that time  2 years ago with their supplied fan it was OK although I'm sure some people would find it uncomfortable.

As far as attractions go there are some and you definitely won't have to sit and Klutz during that duration especially that you have a shabbos there.

as mentioned up thread they provide a Concierge to help you plan your attractions

Hi,
yep i did, just recently.
the hotel is a very nice hotel, rooms are nice comfortable and clean, some rooms (studio/suite) even has full kitchen, they in middle of redoing the lobby (part of it is done, job well done), stunning views outside of hotel, beautiful lake in back, the location is great a lot of attractions next to hotel so do they have a nice park which is great for kids, no need to drive around they have a lot within the area of the hotel, the chairlift up to the peak of VT is also there.

FYI. if you planing your stay during the weekend they will prob. have a wedding there, or even 2.
just make sure to request a room with balcony & facing the lake.
Enjoy!

I have seen some reviews that the rooms are getting a bit run down and service is non-existent.

How about activities around that area in the winter, is it worth driving from Brooklyn to there for 2 days?
