Sounds good---,though I doubt my kids will want to live in a village, if it is up to me , ill pack as soon as they will accept me as a new resident. Kidding aside, will they be offering citizenship to those accepted?

You need to commit to 10 years.

First, you must be under 45 years old. Secondly, the property you chose must be valued at no less than 200,000 francs ($201,600 USD).
Think that will pass the age discrimination test?

I don't understand how a town of just 240 families can afford it.

It's the economics of shrinking vs growing or young vs aging populations.

Contrary to what many have been told (due to political motivations) a growing population and large families are actually good for an economy. It's the younger, productive members that support the older.

Not when they are all on some sort of aid and there is no room for them.

Sooner or later everyone becomes productive to the economy.

I understand why they want to do it, I just don't understand how they can afford to bring 50 families.
