Jewish Music (New CDs, hock, and opinions)
Listened to the sampler on YT, as well as the individual track samples on Amazon. From what I could hear, every song sounded the same. Plus, the 'choir' backing was just essentially humming the melody and that's it. Was ready to go ahead and buy it with no-rush credits, but having listened a bit, I'm hesitant.
Doni Gross' acapella albums generally are like that; he's going for a simple, wholesome cover of the original song. No fancy "beats" etc. The harmonies are subtle and impeccable.

Re: Covid-19 Symptoms In Toddlers - Rashes / Hives
I understood that to mean they are testing positive now. I'm wondering about initial exposure, since the timeline seems to be a couple of months behind the spike in adult positives.

This part was interesting as a possible explanation for the delay: One suspected possibility is that the antibodies the affected children are making to the COVID-19 virus are creating an immune reaction in the child's body.

At 17:57 Dr Shanik says that last weeks Lakewood Kawasaki case is unrelated to Covid-19.
He discusses the whole Kawasaki thing there.
In this case, the child tested negative for COVID-19, however the family is awaiting antibody results. I think Dr. Shanik wasn't clear here.

Re: $3 trillion coronavirus relief plan!!!
I've spoken to restaurant owners in ORD who can't find employees because of the unemployment payments. It's a problem.
Or inversely, people now don't need to risk their lives to pay their bills thanks to the unemployment payments. Which is precisely the point - get as many people to stay home as possible.

Re: Are you still practicing social distancing? In Lakewood, it seems like many people have given up and have relaxed their distancing.

I'm personally stilled holed up and am distancing strictly.

Re: Are you still practicing social distancing?
It's not just that orders aren't being rescinded it's that there is no plan being communicated to us. People are realizing that the government has no real ideas about this and they are starting to use  their own judgment. I can see the frum communities approaching the govt with their own local opening up plans rather than waiting for it to trickle down.
I don't get this at all. Were people only practicing social distancing because the government told them to do it?

Re: Are you still practicing social distancing? How is SD political? Not talking about the lockdown (and closure of non-essential businesses etc.) Is there really a debate whether SD works?

Re: Are you still practicing social distancing?
We're not discussing if it is political, but if people THINK it's political
Yeah, I get the difference. But how/why do people think that it is? I honestly don't understand it. Are they lumping the entire lockdown together including SD (and masks etc)?

Re: Are you still practicing social distancing?
We've been in a lock down for far longer than originally posited. SD is going to be normal for a long time, but there is no intent to move us out of the lockdown phase. That is why people are doing their own thing. At what point can you mix with your own family? Not for another year?  And look at how other countries are moving forward. The US of A cannot get anything happening?!
I get it. I get the frustration, and I agree - I wish the governments (fed/state) would be more competent. But SD at this point is common sense, not something that's government mandated.
