Lakewood covid cases
Whats the protocol for someone that has COVID symptoms. Can children go to school? Etc. Is there any advantage in not testing?
All the schools that I'm aware of say that you can't send kids to school if someone in house has covid. Don't be an oiber chochem; that's how we get entire schools closed down.

Re: Lakewood covid cases
I haven't heard of any schools covering up any spread that happened at school.
+1

Schools don't have good safety protocols in place, but I haven't heard of any spread amongst kids.

Additionally it seems like most adults are catching it at weddings/work/shul.

Israel, Europe, Canada, & Lakewood all have a significant uptick shortly after schools reopened. There is no reason to assume the Lakewood uptick is different than everywhere else.
Go back through this thread, the uptick started before school started.

Masks
Something I've been curious about (I know it's been discussed upthread but didn't have a good conclusion). As per my friends and relatives in Israel, mask usage is extremely high and yet Covid is widespread. Does this "prove" that masks don't work?
One observation I had was that the masks must have been designed by some antisemite, as they were not designed to fit Jewish noses.
Think I have my answer. Masks don't work for Jews. ;)

Re: Corona virus and your shul

That would require someone to go from place to place to place and blow over and over and over.
Blowing a shofar isn't particularly hard, just takes a few days of practice. I'd reckon most people just haven't tried to do it themselves; a kosher shofar can be bought for <$100.

Re: Lakewood covid cases BMG cancelled the 4 minim shuk.

Assuming it will just move elsewhere; presumably BMG doesn't want it because of optics.

Re: Lakewood covid cases
A friend’s mother has double pneumonia and very low oxygen (she’s getting oxygen at home) but is refusing to go to the hospital against the urging of Hatzalah and Bikur Cholim.

Dr. Liebowitz has COVID. Side note, the State called him before Rosh Hashana to confirm that Lakewood shuls were going to be fully masked.
Gotta keep that hospitalization rate down! Else, people might take it seriously.

I find it very interesting (and telling) that this link now shows a 404
You must be new here; this par for the course with them. ;)

“We closed it because it was very unsafe outdoors, but now we found a safer indoor place”
 :-X
Was obvious that it was closed for PR reasons; can't blemish that pristine BMG public face.

Hope they get their act together before October 29 :)
Especially considering that their stuff is literally worthless on October 29th...
