Re: Irans military leader assassinated
These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly & fully strike back, & perhaps in a disproportionate manner. Such legal notice is not required, but is given nevertheless!
He prepared the notification articles for congress, he is just not sending them over until he is sure he will be treated fairly

Re: COVID-19 (Wuhan Novel Coronavirus) Pandemic Master Thread
Bris will move indoors.  But the minyan won't need to move indoors
will they serve food? Hard to eat with a mask.

The baby has a mask...

Many health care workers are sick even with a mask, and a mask doesnít work with a beard so donít rely on your mask to much.

Personally I would sat that If you really are going to stay 10 feet away from anyone, not touch your face, and be really careful than the risk is low, but you really have to all go there with the mindset that all the other people are positive. Practically itís hard to put on teffillin without a table, with gloves and a mask, etc. if anyone there is showing symptoms... donít rely on a mask. Be careful not to touch much even with gloves.

Re: Eggs and COVID-19
In many countries people do not refrigerate eggs
in those countries the eggs come unwashed. In the USA the wash them and that removes the outer membrane and they should be kept in the fridge

No
i guess itís more than 1 camp. Not all camps are sending emails... responsible parents should test on their own.

Re: The current state of COVID-19 in Israel
But if you have it at LLBG then people can get it upon arrival and prior to going into isolation/quarantine, and then possibly the second dose upon departure, so that future travel to Israel would be quarantine free - giving a boost to the economy.
You're talking about vaccinating Israeli travelers, on their way back from abroad?
He is saying that if Israel agreed to vaccinate all foreigners on the way in. Have them pay for a quarantined hotel for 10 days. Then tour for 11 days and get another vaccine locally or on the way out. great for the economy

Re: Realistic vaccine date- end of 2021?
You're hearing about people catching covid after vaccination, but there's no way they can catch it from the vaccine itself.  Here are a few possibilities:

1. They caught covid BEFORE they got the vaccine.  It takes an average of 5 days for symptoms to appear, but can be as much as 2-3 weeks later.  During that interval they got the vaccine, and mistakenly thought that the vaccine caused covid, but they really were already infected before they got the vaccine.

2. They caught covid DURING the time they went for the vaccine.  The most vulnerable people have been isolating at home, and when they go for the vaccine they may come in contact with people who are infected - for example, during the ride in a car or bus on the way to the vaccination place, or while sitting with other people who are waiting for the injection, or who are resting briefly after getting it.

3. They caught covid in the days AFTER the vaccine.  The vaccine is not immediately effective.  It takes a couple of weeks to start building up immunity, and only after the second injection does it become very strong.  Even then, it's not 100%, so people need to continue to take precautions.
All good points. One more thing is that after getting back vaccinated people loosen up and are not as careful. Especially in areas where the virus is spiking this can lead to exposure

Re: Re: The current state of COVID-19 in Israel
Thereís nothing civil about this drivel (to put it mildly) & as such I wonít be getting involved in it. Regardless it doesnít belong in Covid board.
Itís time for the mods to step in and bring back the DDF boards to what they used to be; a place for civil normal helpful conversation.

If youíre looking for other things please post in JS or even better on the countless other blogs readily available

Re: REVIVE THE PHONE WITH A KEYBOARD
I spent 20+ years in the mobile wireless industry not only building software but also manufacturing and selling mobile phones to carriers all over the world. I have started the research to develop our very own Phone with a keyboard. I will take input from anyone that wishes to give it. I have started to talk to the factories I know that produce A grade products, but you must understand you get what you pay for. I will not put my name on a phone that does not meet my own standards. The retail price is going to be between $100-120 since I have to get it approved to be used on Verizon. Typically phones that are approved to work on Verizon cost more. I will take all your feedback and even pictures of what a device should look like and go from there. I will be building out the software myself as well.
Just to clarify you referring to a basic phone or a smart phone

Re: Pregnancy and Covid I know there were women who had a hard time in March/April but I still have a question why are we seeing so much more of this issue this time around.
Some possible reasons
In general, more men were hit the first round than women. (This round is almost a cleanup round as unfortunately many of those who still were not infected got it now R"L)
The UK variant seems to be more of a cause - either because it's more contagious or more harmful to women
There may be a higher percentage of pregnant women now to a lockdown baby boom.
