Re: Do you know someone who has had Coronavirus after Pesach?
Maybe it's to weed out all the "new cases" that really are old cases only getting tested now.
That's what I think.

Re: Will there be Sleep Away Camp this summer?
They need the money that all the Jewish people donate to Cuomo year after year and they continue to do even after rent control. But at this point all the politicians know that no matter what they do the money will still pour in, so they arenít really worried about alienating anyone.
Seems to be pure politics at this point.

Re: The Future of Lakewood
I voted for HH last time. This time I voted against him for 2 reasons.
1 - I don't think he will be able to change anything, and will only make a ruckus, enough to bring great shame to the Ortho community.
2 - He's said and written alot of things since the last time he ran, that showed him to be a sore loser. He's written an op-ed in a Howell non-Jewish newspaper against the Rabonim of Lakewood. I don't think he has the judgement to serve in office. If it was someone else I would vote for him.
Going against the establishment in any community requires great wisdom and an advisor with "breite pleitzes". He does not seem at this point to have any of that. Anyone who writes against Rabbonim in ANY venue, let alone a non-Jewish one has lost all sense of perspective.

Re: Lakewood covid cases
I heard this too. And I heard (a rumor) besheim Dr. Shanik that he gives 2 weeks from when schools opened till they close.
Makes sense, my DS said weeks ago that if people want shul for Yamim Noraim we shouldn't open school until after Yom Tov...

Re: The current state of COVID-19 in Israel
Anyone know what the seminaries are planning to do with all the Chutznik girls over bein hazmanim?
Many of the ones that started already opted for the capsule type program where they intended for the whole group to stay together. They do not have the same problem as the Yeshivas that opted for the "family" type program where each apartment is it's own capsule and they are allowed out for essential business. During lockdown the former have no real changes that need to be made, whereas the Yeshivas have a big problem.

Re: COVIDiots
So a close relative of mine (of whom both spouses currently have symptomatic confirmed COVID) went to a massive Chol Hamoed indoor venue today with other siblings. Donít worry, they wore a mask most of the time.

In their words: ďThe Rav said [the husband] can come to Shul now (4 days after onset of symptoms and testing positive, still somewhat symptomatic), so whatís the difference?Ē

Youíre right. There truly is no difference.

#COVIDIOTS
Unbelievable! And people want to know why we'll be closed down?!
