2 way remote starter + bypass + tilt switch + installation = $199 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/compustar-cs4202-s-kit-2-way-remote-start-system-with-tilt-switch-and-geek-squad-installation/9999288500050000.p?skuId=9999288500050000

Usually $730. 2 way means you'll get confirmation that it started. Some vehicles may have extra charges if more labor is required. Sick deal on a good 2 way remote.

Re: New Coin Deal Close to $600 on eBay now and rising....

I agree with the criticism of Dan on these coin deals. While exclusive advertising for a certain product is fine, censoring the forum for any discussion goes too far and does a disservice to the DansDeals community imo.

There were plenty of offers @ $200 and even a couple for $400-$500.

Certainly it can be justified on some level but it is a disservice nonetheless.

What happens to the cancellations for duplicates or billing not verifiable etc... Why don't they go back in stock?

They do and will go on sale in the coming days, as in the past. I believe it is early in the morning but forgot exactly when. In any case it will be extremely difficult to get

Re: New Coin Deal
Who censored the forum? Because I'm seeing plenty of discussion of other offers here and coins for sale on the GFST board.
From the wiki: "PFS has purchased the exclusive rights on Coin offers on DD/DDF, going forward no other offers will be permitted."

I understood that to mean we cannot mention outside offers (not our own but rather offers other people are making) on this forum.

Re: New Coin Deal and it's in hand. Earliest anyone else will have them is next week as turnaround is minimum week outside of the shows.
Only 500 were sold at Baltimore and a fraction were graded and a fraction are 70's.
Prices will come down as there are more graded and listed.

via ebay, yes.

DP from large dealer

Pretty good sign that they think the frenzy won't last.
We may have peaked.

Re: New Coin Deal
... And what if you get 68?

68 is extremely unlikely.

Some useful information for those planning on grading:
PCGS has a stricter definition of 70 vs NGC
Prior Population reports can be seen here (https://www.pcgs.com/pop/detail/silver-eagles-1986-date/939) (Factor in that minimum grading can be specified, thus skewing the numbers)
PCGS has a higher membership fee than NGC.
NGC has a quicker turnaround (PCGS/NGC both use a 2 step process for turnaround 1. Processing your coin 2. Grading. When you pay for a certain turnaround time, it's only step 2. Step 1 (with PCGS IN PARTICULAR) can add a lot of time to the process. Essentially their turnaround time promise is highly disingenuous.
PR69 sells at a slight discount to Raw typically - also factor in shipping to and from the grading company in addition to fees.
Factor in that the market may move down in the 2-4 weeks it takes to get coin back.

With this coin both grading companies are offering encapsulation of the COA for a fee as well. Worth it IMO.

Re: New Coin Deal
can someone explain to me why the 2019-S American Eagle One Ounce Silver "Enhanced Reverse" Proof Coin is worth so much money?  the us mint sells many limited edition coins. please don't just say 'supply & demand'.

Supply and demand.  :)

Your argument references the supply part of the equation.

In this case, the demand is the driving force. The American Eagle Silver Dollar series is extremely popular with collectors and hundreds of thousands of people collect them, both in the USA and around the world.  30k is simply far too small to satisfy the much larger demand.

Re: New Coin Deal
I believe this is the smallest mintage on record.

Correct, however, his question was why is it worth more then other recent offerings from the US Mint, from other series, that have lower or similair mintages (the eishenhower RP from 2015 with 17k mintage is one example) and have not appreciated anywhere near this offering.

Re: New Coin Deal
Thanks.

Any insight on the other two questions?

if nto selaed they wont encapsulate as they dont know if you switched the coa.
the logic (ridiculous) is that there is some inherent linkage between the COA and the coin it came with. as if it was minted in that order or something like that. obv false but much of labeling/grading is gimmicky.

i dont know if the cutoff is sending or receiving. if its sealed not sire if it makes a difference as theyll see the order date info inside

Re: New Coin Deal
What's the value of a PCGS 69 vs NGC 70?
Why don't they allow you to only crossover if it goes higher?

PCGS 69s are going for 1250-1350 while NGC Pr70s are going for 2000-2250
I'm not sure why they have that policy in place. It may simply relate to being able to charge as the fees are otherwise refunded if it doesnt crossover successfully.

"If a PCGS-certified coin fails to meet NGC’s standards for the submitter’s requested minimum grade, it will be returned to the submitter in its original PCGS holder. In this case, the NGC grading fee will be refunded less a $10 processing charge."

Easily will go up by thousands of dollars.

Will be near impossible to get one though.

"As many people have stated these coins have lots of upside and if you want to take adavantage of that don't opt in with a buying group"

To clarify, it's not that they have upside. They ALREADY are selling on ebay for +400/silver +3/4000/gold.

Re: New Coin Deal
Statement Regarding Sales of End of World War II 75th Anniversary American Eagle Gold Proof Coin (20XE) & End of World War II 75th Anniversary American Eagle Silver Proof Coin (20XF).

"The 2020 End of WWII 75th Anniversary American Eagle One Ounce Gold Proof Coin and the End of World War II 75th Anniversary American Eagle Silver Proof Coin were released for sale at noon ET on November 5. Release of these coins resulted in the highest website traffic we have ever experienced, which greatly exceeded our expected capacity.  This high volume caused website instability, and customers encountered error messages and in some cases were unable to purchase their desired product.  Due to extremely high demand, the American Eagle Gold Proof Coin became unavailable by 12:07 p.m.  We are pleased with the initial demand, but are also in the process of evaluating the various customer concerns and system constraints and/or failures we experienced.  We want to assure you that the United States Mint remains committed to providing the highest possible level of customer service, and regret any inconvenience or frustration this buying experience caused."

They've been literally saying things like this since 2010.
Digital version of the USPS. They need to move to a lottery system for these high demand launches

Vaccine availability NYC Please feel free to add resources to help everyone.

I just booked 2 appointments for my parents through this website for tonight.

https://vaccinepod.nyc.gov/

As far as I saw there was nothing else available at the moment. That probably will change though.

Anecdotally I am hearing many booked today at Maimonides and at beth israel on kings highway. I don't know how to sign up for those - its not through the link I pasted above.

Why throw this under the bus before its even out to try.

He explained why in his post. He thinks the CPU is trash.
Seems like the only throwing under the bus is what the mob is doing to him.
True he is a competitor, doesn't mean the point he is making is invalid.
Debate him on the merit of his argument and not on a accused bias.

So what's the best price I can get for yesterday's coins?

Check the goods for sale thread - so far only 2 buyers at 500$ over and a couple of dozen aspirational sellers asking 1.5k over :)

Re: US Mint Coins For Sale (Individuals only) PSA - sell while you can.

no, i have no skin in the game, had one to sell myself - but 3 buyers closed their offers at 500$ one lowered to $300.

Although this was apparent from seeing the dozens of sellers here with only 1 or 2 buyers, now its pretty much confirmed.
